Services Overview
Providing On- and Off-Site Shredding Services
American Document Destruction is a secure document destruction company that provides off site paper shredding services at your location, featuring three dedicated destruction units. Our on- and off-site shredding services are available to the Carson City, Lake Tahoe, Reno, Sparks, and Truckee areas. We will pick up at your location and destroy all materials within 24 hours under the watchful eye of our 24-hour security cameras in our locked-down Sparks facility. A Certificate of Destruction is given out to every customer to show proof that your documents and media have been securely destroyed. We certify the destruction of all materials: paper, folders, hard drives, computer media, sticker rolls, pharmacy labels and vials, X-rays, blueprints, etc.
Routine Shredding Services
American Document Destruction provides recurring scheduled shredding service, whether you prefer that shredding takes place on-site at your location or off-site at our secure shredding facility. You can set up scheduled shredding to keep you in compliance with state and federal information privacy laws. The process is simple. Having routine removes the pressure of continually calling to schedule visits and ensures that your confidential information is shredded regularly for optimal security.
Bulk rates are available for storage clean-outs or file purges.
On- and Off-Site Document Destruction
Our on-site shredding service allows you to schedule a time for us to come directly to you for your document destruction service. It’s quick and convenient, and you’re able to watch your documents get shredded right in front of you.
With our off-site shredding service, your documents are picked up and securely disposed of within our secure chain of custody. Off-site shredding is extremely cost-effective.
With either type of shredding service, we mix your shredded paper with thousands of pounds of other customers’ shredded paper before baling and sending it for recycling.

Downstream Data Coverage
Why Proper Professional Liability Insurance is So Critical to You, Our Customer
Using outside vendors for data destruction and other data-related services has grown very popular because they can do it more securely and more economically than organizations can do it for themselves.
But, with stringent regulations and severe financial consequences, customers have come to realize that they are responsible in the unlikely event a data breach or other loss is caused by those vendors – no matter how it happened.
This is why it is critical to insist that your data-related service provider carry insurance that indemnifies you from any financial consequences they may cause.
Most Professional Liability Products Do NOT Adequately Address the Risks
Off-the-shelf professional liability policies often exclude claims that result from the intentional acts of employees or that violate federal regulations. Yet, in the case of data-related theft or fraud, those are exactly the acts most likely to cause a claim in the first place!
